I am getting ready to upgrade camera's again. I have a Canon 30D for sale for $500 (paid $969.95). I will also be selling my Canon 40D later on this year (probably in late October-November). The 30D was only used for a few months and the 40D was purchased less than a year ago...still on warranty. If interested, please email me :) Both in excellent condition.

Happy Fall!

Well, I haven't been able to post many sneak peaks (pretty much at all!) this whole summer. It has been very busy for me...a real challenge trying to keep up with everything.

I am completly booked for 2008. I have a waiting list for cancellations...if you would like to be on this list just give me a call or email. There is a possibility that I may do "mini" sessions in late October. (this will only be if I get caught up with my work).

I will also be adding some Christmas Card samples on the blog soon...........

The Waddell Family

Our good friend, Chris Waddell, recently found out that he has stomach cancer. He will begining chemo/radiation and then surgery. I would like to ask anyone reading this to please keep him and Kristin and the rest of their family in your prayers. Thanks so very much. Summer 2008

So...it has been a very busy summer so far. Mr. B is now 8 weeks old...I am still in the T-Mobile nightmare (that's been about a 10 hour a week PT job for the last few weeks). I have also been back to work on pictures again for the last month. I actually went back to taking pics about 4 weeks sooner than I had originally planned. It has been alot of fun, very refreshing. I am a little tired, especially staying up to 1 am to edit pictures...but it is all worth it! I have gotten to meet some awesome kiddos and parents! I am looking forward to meeting new clients and seeing old ones in the next few months...I can squeeze in a few more appointments for 2008 - so if you haven't made your appt yet...need to do it soon!

I just finished reading the book "The Shack". After having about 20 people or so ask me if I had read it yet...saying it was a must read! It is definitely a MUST READ! I am not a big reader. However, there were times that I could hardly put the book down. I literally just had to sit for about a half hour or so after finishing it yesterday and try to remember all of the things that I liked so much about the book. I walked away thinking that for now on...I will judge less, show love more and forgive everyone! As soon as I finish reading Dr. Sears "All about Vaccines" (Baby has shots coming soon and I have the dilema as to whether or not to vaccinate) I will be re-reading the shack. :O) Gotta go get it and read it ya'll!!!

Well, I have the afternoon to work a little on orders and editing...so off I go. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.

my beautiful friend...

The other night I had the privilege of taking some pictures of my beautiful friend, Kelsi. As some as you may know, she has been fighting cancer this year (and she sure puts up a mighty fight:). She has and continues to be such an amazing inspiration to so many! If you need to be inspired today, please check out her blog. Everytime I read it, it brings tears to my eyes and reminds me what really matters in life. Isn't she beautiful!!! The Best Day of My Life
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever! There were times I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and yes, even the hardships because they have made me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning frost, the sun, the clouds, the tree's, the snow crystals, the rain, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creatures will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know. Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for her and how much she means to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God, and His Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know that tomorrow will be the best day of my life, ever!

Baby Brandon is here!

Well, after being induced twice (1st time failed) my baby boy is finally here. Five weeks before my due date I was told during an ultra sound that he was already 8lbs 5oz. and that he could possibly be almost 11 lbs if I went full term. So, I asked my doctor (his name is Dr. Tony Henneberg, the most wonderful doctor I have ever had....in case you need an OB doctor) when he could induce labor. We scheduled it on June 5th. After 12 hours in the hospital on patocin, nothing...baby Brandon was not ready. So, we tried it again the following Tuesday, June 10th and it worked. Had a wonderful day...my friends Amy, Tina and Jodi were there in the delivery room...as well as my mom, wonderful hubby and daughter were all with me the whole day. I had an epideral at about 1:00 pm and never felt a thing after that. I was told to start pushing at about 8:30 pm (still never feeling a thing) and had our beautiful baby boy at 9:28 pm. He weighed 9lbs 10oz. and was 21 inches. It was a great day...great friends, my wonderful family and a great doctor to share this magical moment. We sure had a lot of laughs!!! PS...One of my very best friends, Amy Waddington, took these pics when he was 4 days olds....she takes the most beautiful newborn pictures ever. If you need newborn pics you gotta call her!
God is so good :o)

The Book & Bean....now open!

The Book & Bean Coffee Shop & Book Store is now open. It is a wonderful place to meet other mommy friends and your kiddo's. They have a children's play area. Nice comfy couches nestled in front of a cozy fireplace...to hang out with your friends. They have also started Storybook Hour every Friday morning at 10:30. Owners, Deborah & Hunter Bried are such amazing people...gotta meet them...you will just love them :) I am so fortunate for meeting such wonderful people :) Oh, and they also have a conference room available for meetings, bible study, get togethers.... Stop by and see the store and my work on display :)

It's a Boy! Wahoo!

Well, the suspense is finally over. Yesterday we had the ultrasound done and there was no hiding going on whatsoever! It is definitely a boy. We are so excited! I think Marty was glowing when we left...and his phone wouldn't stop beeping with all of the text messages coming into his phone. L is also soooooo very happy. She has said all along that she wanted a brother.

I have already done some shopping for baby boy clothes. Stopped at Old Navy on my way home from the doctors last night and got some awesome deals on clothes for our new little baby. It was so cute this morning....I came upstairs this morning after working on my puter for a little while and L had laid out all of the clothes all over the living room. She is so excited :) we have been wahooooing all morning. God is good!

Well, I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year...and to thank all my clients for such an awesome 2007!!! It has been such an amazing year! I am so grateful for all of you...more than words can say. It has been so awesome to have had the opportunity to capture a few moments in your life....I appreciate the opportunity so much. I look so forward to 2008!

Just an FYI...coming soon. There is an AWESOME new Coffee Shop/Children's Book Store opening on January 11th. It is located next door to Hand's On Art on Government between Appleway and Kathleen. Some of my work will be on display through out the store. Check it out. I will take some pictures of the store as soon as they are open.... :o)
